An original 1960s US Army OG106 Baseball cap as issued during Vietnam, complete with graffiti.
Officially designated 'Cap, Field (Hot Weather) OG - 106, this pattern of cap was issued throughout the Vietnam War to US troops. It is made from a green cotton and features a leather sweatband to the interior.
The cap is well worn in giving it a great 'been there' look. The underside of the peak features graffiti, typical of items worn in Vietnam. It is hard to read all of the details but it appears that the hat belonged to a SP4 Specialist 4 of E Battery.
The cap is roughly a UK size 7. The overall condition is good with various signs of wear and age. Please study the pictures.
A nice original Vietnam war period item which would make a great addition to any collection.
