A scare grouping of items attributed to Captain Arthur George Mayo MC 1st Bn Duke of Cornwall’s Light Infantry.

Comprising:

Officer service dress cap, this is an Officer’s issue example dated 1918, complete with OSD cap badge, correct tin leather chinstrap and to the interior a full cotton lining. The latter with WD 1918 issue stamp. A few small moth nips under the peak, otherwise near VGC.

Field Glasses. This is an issue pair which remain in clean condition, the leather body with ink “A M” Optics appear clear. Contained in original leather case dated 1917 and details 1st DCLI. Original 1917 Commission document

Original November 1917 score report.

He landed in France on the 24th July 1915 and was promoted Corporal in September 1916. He was granted a commission in to the 1st Bn DCLI and returned to France.
