US Army WWII M1928 Haversack (Pack Carrier)

An original World War II U.S. Army M1928 Infantry Haversack, the standard field pack issued to American infantry throughout much of the Second World War. Constructed from heavy khaki canvas with the original black "U.S." stencil to the front flap, this is a classic piece of US military equipment and an excellent addition to any WWII militaria collection or mannequin display.

The M1928 haversack formed part of the M1910 load-carrying equipment system and was designed to carry a soldier's personal kit, rations and shelter equipment. It features the original adjustable shoulder straps with M1910 wire attachment hooks, lace-up internal securing straps and the characteristic folding design unique to this model.

This example displays honest service wear, with age-related staining, marks and a few small holes to the canvas, all consistent with military use and storage over many decades. The canvas remains generally sound and the hardware is intact. Manufacturer and date markings, if originally present, are no longer visible due to wear.
