    Khaki green factory smooth painted crown Mk 1 helmet with lower rolled edge brim . Black treated linen liner ,Early pattern oval rubber crown pad .The frame with Maker and date 1938 .  Sprung webbing chinstrap .Some minor service wear . Complete with green string helmet net holding the 1940 dated First aid dressing in place .Good early un touched helmet .Typical for a helmet used by the B.E.F in France at the start of the war and the retreat to Dunkirk.
