Gilt/brass circular cap badge featuring an antelope head within a laurel wreath, bearing the motto “UNITY IS STRENGTH” and lower inscription “EENDRAGT MAAK MAG” (Afrikaans equivalent). This bilingual motto and antelope emblem are strongly associated with early Union of South Africa defence and auxiliary units, reflecting national identity and unity themes used across several South African military formations in the early–mid 20th century.
