A particularly nice example of a 1939 dated British Brodie Helmet complete with what appears to be its original camouflage net.
The shell is without damage and shows the remains of a granulated camouflage finish with loss where it has failed to adhere to the factory shiny finish having been rubbed by the net, mostly around the crown. The net is lightly camouflaged with holes which are obvious in the images.
Inside the rim of the helmet is stamped RO&CO (Rowberry Owen & CO) KD and 1939, the liner being in very good condition with the oil cloth supple and free from cracks, the fibre band marked to Vero, size 7 and 1939. The Chinstrap appears to have one broken spring
A very nice, unmolested helmet from the BEF / Dunkirk era.
