About this item
95) A very nice original wartime Bakelite protective helmet. in the standard Brodie style. These were sold privately and were for use when dealing with electricity etc in bombed out areas. this one was made by Plasfort. The shell is in great order with no cracks or damage, it originaly had a "W" for warden to the front which for some reason has been removed but has left the outline. The liner is good soft and supple but does show age related cracks and wear to the oil cloth. All is good and strong. the liner is not dated or marked. It is a good size 7 1/4. The original leather chinstrap is in place and good and has faint hand written owners details to it. A nice wartime helmet in great condition.
