A presentable Heer M40 Q64 Helmet with a lot number of 297.
Reissued with a rough textured grey green finish, the shell is without damage but showing evidence of rubbing where someone has exposed the army eagle on the left side and looked for a tricolor on the right side. Although this series never had a second decal there does appear that something was there at some time.
Inside, the zinc liner band sits well against the shell, the liner intact but heavily treaded with a leather dressing. The drawstring is in place.
The chinstrap is present and complete but has a break which has been partially repaired with stitching.
Perhaps best described as an entry level Helmet but still displaying well.
