About this item
A very nice used condition Royal Air Force Officer's Field Service issue Cap in large size 7 ¼. Manufactured by the company S&P Harris Ltd of Glasgow in 1945.
Exterior of blue grey wool with brass Kings Crown and Eagle, these with screw back fittings.
The rayon interior is printed with manufacturer details along with the date, size and the Broad Arrow mark denoting Crown property.
Minor sweat staining to the beige velvet sweatband.
Two small moth holes, one approx 3mm to the rear of the cap and a pinhead size one again on the cap rear.
There is a name handwritten in ink on the inside of the cap just below the cap badge, this has faded somewhat but it appears to be Montgomery.
