Rare Obsolete Monaco Carabiniers du Prince Rainier III Era
For sale is an authentic and rare vintage ceremonial dress cap from the Compagnie des Carabiniers du Prince, the elite military unit responsible for protecting the Prince's Palace of Monaco. This historic piece dates from the reign of Prince Rainier III (1949–2005). The Carabiniers are the Prince's close-protection force and form part of Monaco's Force Publique.
The cap body is made of high-quality black wool, adorned with a braided band in the national colors (red and silver) of the House of Grimaldi. The front features the embroidered oval badge with the interlocked double "RR" royal monogram topped by the princely crown. The ribbed silver-plated metallic officer's chinstrap is original, held by its side buttons and metallic slider.
A highly sought-after prestige piece from one of the smallest armed forces in the world.
