About this item
An original Second World War period or possibly post-war Honourable Artillery Company infantry shoulder title.
The infantry style white on red shoulder title was introduced for HAC infantry soldiers in 1922 following the practice of the guards regiments. These were sourced at a regimental level and so were never official issue until 1954. This makes the title difficult to precisely date, but it is certainly of the period.
