    About this item

An original Swiss military denim work jacket dating from the 1950s.

These jackets were designed as a work piece for fatigues and similar. It is made from a grey coloured denim cotton and features a button front and two plain patch pockets to the chest which features flaps and fastens with buttons. A barrel cuff can be found at the end of each sleeve which fastens with the same buttons as used for the rest of the garment. Brass belt hangers are located to the rear of the jacket and there is a small field dressing pocket fitted inside the jacket.

Inside the jacket the original size tag is still present to the neck and reads '50'. There is also a black ink stamp which reads '48' above which is evidence of where a label was previously attached.

The jacket will suit someone of around a 40" chest depending on desired fit and when laid flat measures -

    Chest - 22"
    Inside arm - 18 1/2"
    Outside arm - 24 1/4"
    Length - 26 1/2"
    Shoulders - 17 1/2"

The jacket is in good condition as can be seen in the pictures. There are signs of wear and use including a repair to one of the buttonholes which is detailed in the pictures. Overall the jacket appears to be very wearable but please bear in mind that this is a pre-worn vintage item which may have small issues commensurate with age.

A nice, wearable vintage work jacket!
