About this item
An original 1960s British made Engineers Jacket in a large size.
This style of jacket was very popular in the UK during the mid-century period with works and was often worn in conjunction with bib and brace or overalls. The simple three button design is typical of the period and the three patch pockets are utilitarian yet functional making them ideal for men working in factories, workshops, garages and many other places. The jacket is fitted with three brown coloured revolving shank buttons as are usually found on this period of workwear.
The jacket is made from a cream coloured cotton twill as was popular during the period. It is unlined and features a small size tag to the neck which reads '46'. Above this is a hanging loop.
The jacket is a generous size and when laid flat measures -
Chest - 26 3/4"
Inside arm - 18"
Outside arm - 25"
Length - 30"
Shoulders - 20"
The jacket is in good condition for its age with various signs of wear and use. It has some staining but overall appears to be very wearable. Please study the pictures and remember that this is a pre-owned vintage work piece which may have other small issues consummate with its age.
A classic example of British workwear in a hard to find large size!
