About this item
An original example of a 'Blouses Mens CD.20' dated 1952 and in a good wearable size.
This pattern of battledress first saw use with the Civil Defence and ARP in the early part of the Second World War and continued to see service well into the 1960s. This example is clearly dated 1952 but the pattern is the same as those issued in the early part of the Second World War.
This example comes complete with its original insignia which include 'Rescue' shoulder titles, chief Officer rank stripes to the epaulettes and Civil Defence breast badge to the left pocket below which is the area title which reads 'Camden'.
The original label is still present inside the jacket and is bright and legible. It bears the size of 11 as well as the maker's name of 'Windsmoor' and the 1952 date.
The jacket is designed to fit a 39" - 41" chest and when laid flat it measures -
Chest - 23 1/2"
Waist - 19"
Inside arm - 17"
Outside arm - 24"
Shoulders - 18 1/2"
Length at rear - 20"
The jacket is in good condition for its age with some signs of wear and use. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing however and bear in mind that they are a vintage, pre-worn ite which may have small flaws commensurate with age.
A nicely badged example in good condition.
