About this item
An original British made cream coloured wool jumper in the style of an RAF Frock and dating from the 1940s.
This jumper is made from a natural coloured wool and features tight cuffs and waistband as well as a 2" high neck. The style is extremely close to the RAF issue 'Frock' used throughout the Second World War and in the post-war period. The cut and style of neck are extremely close to the issue style and the construction is period. To the interior are two diamonds of white cotton drill material to reinforce the neck which are typical of construction from this era.
The sweater is a good larger size and will suit up to 42" chest well. When laid flat is measures -
Chest - 21 1/4"
Inside arm - 19 1/2"
Outside arm - 19"
Shoulders - 19 1/2"
The jumper is in good condition with some signs of age and wear. There are a couple of stains to one of the sleeves and some other small flaws but overall it displays very well and is still very wearable. Please study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that this is a vintage, pre-worn item.
A nice original jumper which would make a good stand-in for the extremely hard to find war dated issue example!
