About this item
An original post Second World War British Army Khaki Drill Tunic in un-issued condition.
This pattern of tunic was in use with the British Army throughout most of the first part of the 20th Century, remaining unchanged in appearance, save for some details. Made from a khaki coloured cotton drill the tunic features a stand collar, pleated breast pockets and pointed cuffs. It is fitted with Kings Crown general service buttons throughout, all of which are held in place with the correct brass split rings. The epauletes have stitched holes through which shoulder titles can be fitted.
Inside the tunic the original label is still present and states the size as 19 which will fit a 36" chest and a 32" waist. There is a vocab number on the label which dates this to post-WW2.
The tunic is in excellent condition as can be seen in the pictures. It appears to be un-issued and unworn and displays very well. There is some very minor soiling to the arm as shown in the pictures and may have other small issues commensurate with age.
Altogether a nice tunic in very good condition.
