About this item
1938 2nd Pattern RLB (Reichsluftschutzbund) Leader’s Dagger by Kroneck.
The pommel and crossguard are in aluminium, the crossguard with a stylised Eagle and Swastika. The grip is covered with a dark blue leather at the centre of which sits the RLB sunburst badge with an enamel Swastika. All in very good condition but with some loss to the enamel of the Swastika.
Moving to the blade, the leather buffer pad is in place, at the Ricasso is the Kroneck diamond shaped logo bearing name, now rather faded. There are no nicks to the blade with remains full length. Some cross graining remains evident, the blade now with some greying in places.
The Scabbard is covered in a matching dark blue leather, the scabbard mounts and chape in nickel silver. There is some surface loss to the leather covering on the obverse just above the chape, which has been coloured to match the original blue.
Overall, a very nice example of a rare Dagger.
