    About this item

    A very good example of the French Foreign Legion fighting knife.

    There were produced officially by converting a U.S. P13 Remington bayonet. 

    This example first issued in May 1917, so possibly seeing service in two world wars before its conversion.

    Housed in its original scabbard which has been correctly cut down,  and a leather belt frog added.

    These were still issued as late as 1978 for use in Zaire. 

    Blade length 7.25 inches. 12 inches overall.

    These knives are hard to find, and this example comes in very good condition.
