About this item
A fine example of these highly collectable Government Officials Daggers with simulated mother of pearl grips and silver plated mounts.
The pommel takes the form of an Eagle’s head, the crossguard and langet bearing and eagle and Swastika facing the same way as the pommel. The original and very rare aluminium wire Portepee remains correctly tied and in place.
The plain polished double edged blade carries the Alcoso logo at the Ricasso, the blade without damage but with some historic finger marks which may polish out.
Reverse of the ferrule, crossguard and scabbard throat with matching number 2.
The pebbled Scabbard is plated and fine oakleaf bands support both suspension rings.
With the exception of the finger marks to the blade the Dagger is in excellent and undamaged condition.
First introduced in 1939, production ceased in 1942.
