About this item
A good untouched example of a Second World War period Indian Army MK II ordnance kukri.
This example carries the correct date and maker markings of ATD II 42. Beleived to be the manufactuer of "Army Traders Dehradun, MK II, 1942.
This example produced without a grip ring, a modification introduced in 1942 in order to speed up production, so likely one of the last MKII produced before the switch to the MK III in late 1943.
Wooden grip with some small chips/a small split and some minor loss, but very firm with no movement at all. The steel pommel cap held in place with two protruding rivets, indicative of mid war manufacture. The blade with signs of service sharpening.
Housed in its correct MK II brown leather scabbard with makers marking, and date of 1943.
A used and carried example which would improve with some gentle cleaning and TLC.
Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched. Please send this at the time of ordering, to prevent unnecessary delay in your order being dispatched.
