Private Purchase MII Kukri

A good untouched WW2 Private Purchase kukri, fresh from the bottom of a WW2 kitbag!

This example is based on the British Indian Army MK II, and resembles the M43 variation closely. 

The dark hardwood grips over the full width tang, lined ring grip decoration, and two sunken rivets, and the pommel with steel butt cap.

This likely produced in the Darjeeling area circa 1943/44.

A real time capsule piece, and well worth a gentle clean and polish to bring it up to a good collectors standard.

13 inch blade, 17.25 inches overall.

Housed in its original leather covered wooden scabbard complete with original frog, chakmak and karda.
