    About this item

WW2 US M3 fighting knife and M6 scabbard.

A well used example, blade marked "U.S.M3 R.C. CO" for Robeson Cutlery Co of Perry, NY. They produced a total of 36,575 M3 knives during WW2. It has the correct inspection marking of two crossed cannon within a wheel to the crossguard.

    Housed in a modified M6 scabbard marked "U.S. M6, L&C, 1943, FJA."

This has been further personalised with the addition of a cross hatched design cut into the front of the scabbard.

Overall condition is very much "as found" with old rust and corrosion to the hilt and crossguard, and blade, a crack to the leather grip, and signs of heavy sharpening to the blade. However, both knife and scabbard are in solid condition, with no movement between blade, grip or crossguard.

Strictly over 18's only. Photo ID will be required before this item can be dispatched.
