About this item
For sale is a Boer War/ WWI British Army Military Trench Candle Lamp & Leather Case.
This was used in the trenches and medical stations. The stand is adjustable and it has carry handle at the back. The bottom stand unscrews to reveal a compartment for storing matches.
In the closed position it measures approx. 14.3 cm tall. With it full extended it is approx. 23 cm.
The trench candle lamp is in mostly good condition, some darkening to the silver plate finish, also some crumpling to the celluloid viewing window. But otherwise in good condition, with the original candle still inside. Unfortunately the leather case is rather damaged, missing securing strap and stitching has come undone on the leather backing which can be seen in the photos for more details.
This will be sent via Royal Mail tracked 24 and dispatched within two working days.
