The Royal Highlanders (Black Watch) post 1901 Volunteer Battalion Shoulder Belt Plate is a very scarce example being a reeded silvered backing plate with burnished edges - on this the star plate and four scrolls - the 'Royal Highlanders' and 'Black Watch' all in gilt. A silver centre piece with Kings Crown, an oval scroll with Nemo Me Impune Lacesset with two thistle sprays below this the Sphinx to the centre in gilt St Andrew and Cross. Retailers name to rear - WM Andersons Military Outfitters Edinburgh. Excellent condition.
