For sale is a Post WW2 Order Of Lenin Award In Presentation Box To LT Col Charles Imrie Watt. This order of Lenin award comes in its original presentation box, the medal is made from a heavy metal and enamel.
This was presented to Lt Col Charles Imrie Watt TD who died on the 22nd of October in 2009 aged 70. He joined the Intelligence Corps in 1964 after previous service in The Green Howards and the Roval Corps o Signals. Commissioned in 1968, he was to spend the next 30 years serving with the Intelligence Corps Volunteers as a Russian “Y" Service specialist, earning the TD and three bars. During his service he was promoted to Major and became Commanding Officer of 22 Company (Volunteers) and Second in Command of the Intelligence Wing of the Intelligence & Security Group (Volunteers), leading to further promotion to Lieutenant Colonel. In 2002, in recognition of his Soviet contribution, the Comanding Officer of the Volunteers presented him with the "Order of Lenin". After leaving the army in 1999, he became an instructor at Ashford and then at Chicksands.
