WW1 WOOD & BRASS RFC / CAVALRY MAP BOARD
The map board was used by both Royal Flying Corps Crews and British Cavalry Officers during WW1. Designed to be used with either a map or plain paper, the rollers on each side allowing either to be rolled in each direction for navigation or observation purposes.
The front has a compass in working order, Overall in very good condition (other than split to bottom frame). Complete with leather wrist strap. Stamped Colonel Bosworth's patent. Retailers mark Steward Strand, London.
