For sale is a WW1 19th (Queen Alexandra’s Own Royal) Hussars Battle Honours Postcard. This is in good condition. 

  HISTORY AND TRADITIONS. The present 19th (Queen Alexandra's Own Royal) Hussars was formed in 1860 out of the late Honourable East India Company's Bengal European Light Cavalry. Three regiments had previously borne the title, and the honours are those of the third of the above regiments-the famous old 19th Dragoons of Indian story-and the present 19th Hussars. The 19th Dragoons was raised in 1781, and saw much arduous service in India from 1782 to 1807. It was in the field in 1783-4, took part in the campaign against Tippoo Sahib in 1790-1, and again in 1799, where it fought at the battle of Mallavelly, and the siege of Seringapatam, in the Deccan in 1800-1, and against the Mahrattas in 1803-4. For its distinguished conduct at the battle of Assaye it received the badge of the Elephant. Disbanded in 1821 the present regiment was revived in 1860. It was present in the Egyptian campaign, 1882, and took part in the battle of Tel-el-Kebir, and in the march to Cairo. It was with Graham at Suakin in 1884, and with the Desert Column in the Nile Expedition, 1884-5, including the fierce fighting at Abu Klea. It formed a portion of the troops sent from India to South Africa just before the outbreak of the South African war, during which it took a gallant part in the defence of Ladysmith, and performed brilliant service throughout the remainder of the campaign.   These will be sent via royal mail 1st class signed for and dispatched within two working days.
