Awarded to Private William Mallett served with the Nottinghamshire Sherwood Rangers Yeomanry. British War Medal (2997 PTE. W. MLLETT. SHER. RANG.) The regiment in August of 1915 was stationed in Egypt and was ordered to sail to Gallipoli with the 2nd Mounted Division, serving also in Salonika later on.
