    A MINATURE EXAMPLE OF THE FRENCH ORDER OF ACADEMIC PALMS. IN SILVER,MOUNTED ON A BROOCH FOR DRESS WEAR..  FOR A KNIGHT (PLAIN RIBBON) BESTOWED BY THE FRENCH REPUBLIC FOR SERVICES TO EDUCATION. THE AWARD WAS CREATED IN THE EARLY 1800S.  THIS EXAMPLE HAS DIAMONDS TO THE MOUNT AT THE TOP AND COMES WITH ITS BOX OF ISSUE. CIRCA 1900 

    THE DIAMOND IS A ROSE CUT DIAMOND WITH A PAIR OF SMALLER ONES EITHER SIDE
