About this item
A scarce original matched set of early World War Two British Army Mess tins as used by the BEF.
These rare early mess tins are different to the standard issue wartime mess tins usually seen on the market. They are the first pattern which are made from aluminium and are formed in a very square shape. The corners are much more angular than the standard war time pattern.
The mess tins are a matched pair which were both made by 'H & M Ltd' and bear the 'Pyramid Brand' marking along with the broad arrow and 1939 date.
The set is in good condition with signs of age, wear and use etc. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
A hard to find piece of early war small kit which is a must have for any British Expeditionary Force collector.
These were found in France and are therefore likely to have been used by a member of the BEF.
This is a vintage item which is 'sold as seen'
