A lovely original 1940s wool scarf which was made by 'Sammy' during the 1940s.
This style of scarf was popular with men throughout the mid-Century period and 'Sammy' was a prolific maker of scarves during this period. This example has been made in Royal Air Force colours and whilst not an issue item was clearly designed to appeal to men who were serving in the RAF. It is made from wool and is short in length which is typical of scarves made during this period.
The original label is still present and bears the typical graphics associated with this brand in the 1940s. It bear's the maker's name of 'Sammy' across a graphic depicting a lamb. The words 'Made in Gt Britain' and 'All Wool' are also present.
A nice original WW2 period item which would make a great addition to an RAF display or collection.
