For sale is a WW1 Canadian 101st Infantry Battalion Royal Winnipeg Rifles Collar Badge, which is unfortunately missing it’s left lug.
The Battalion was raised and mobilized in Winnipeg, Manitoba under the authority of G.O. 151, December 22, 1915. The Battalion sailed June 29, 1916 under the command of Lieutenant-Colonel D. McLean with a strength of 36 officers and 1,025 other ranks. In England, the Battalion was absorbed into the 17th Reserve Battalion. It was disbanded on September 15, 1920.
