Enigma Machine Parts Collection
Hi, here is my much loved Collection Of Enigma parts that I have decided to sell & be enjoyed by another collector.
D-Reflector a very rare piece that's that was in a German collectors collection for over 50 years.
2 Rotors with same serial number A13071 dating to 1941 where found in Balga near Konigsburg.
Rotor A10270 is the most complete & has the Waffen stamp WaA618 for Enigma, dates to about 1939 & was found on the Kurland Battlefield in the Kurzeme Region. The wheel does turn on this but does have a crack so must be careful.
Rotor A953 is a very rare early rotor dating to 1930 or earlier.
The Enigma Letter Film is from a Enigma 1 machine & was found in what was known as Stalingrad.
The Relay is for a T36 machine, an early predicesore to the Enigma machine & is in unused condition with it's original box with 1938 stamped on it.
Please study the pictures.
WWII-Era German Cipher Machine Components — Enigma Rotor & Reflector Lot, plus T36 Relay
Overview
A collection of six German cipher-machine components recovered and preserved by a long-term private collector, comprising four Enigma rotor wiring assemblies, one reflector (identified as UKW-D type), one Enigma letter-ring/film strip, and one relay unit from a T36 machine (an early precursor system to Enigma) still housed in its original dated box. Sold as a lot or available to split — buyer's choice.
Enigma Rotor, Serial A953
Early rotor, believed pre-1930 production based on construction style and serial range. Numeral "IV" stamped on the face. Copper contact pins intact around the full circumference; wiring disk shows expected age-consistent oxidation. Aluminum surround shows a jagged, weathered edge consistent with long-term ground exposure/salvage.
Enigma Rotor, Serial A10270
Stamped with Waffenamt acceptance mark (WaA618), placing production circa 1939. Reportedly recovered from the Kurland (Kurzeme) battlefield area, Latvia. Rotor wheel still turns freely but has a visible hairline crack in the disk body — handle with care, do not force rotation. Most structurally complete rotor in the lot.
Enigma Rotors, Matching Serial A13071 (Pair)
Two rotors sharing an identical serial number, said to have been recovered together near Balga, in the former Königsberg region. Both show consistent wear patterns and matching wiring-disk construction. Screwhead contacts and brass pins present; some corrosion staining to the black composite housing, typical for buried recovery pieces.
UKW-D Reflector ("oben," letter D stamp)
Brass-bodied reflector marked "oben" (top) and "D," consistent with the field-rewireable Umkehrwalze D type introduced later in the war to allow unit-level rewiring of reflector connections. Housed in the collection for over 50 years per prior ownership history. Visible split/crack along one edge of the housing (shown in photos) — sold as-is.
Enigma Letter Ring / Keyboard Film Strip
Stenciled QWERTZ-layout letter film, reportedly ex-Stalingrad recovery. Weathered metal strip with legible painted/stamped lettering (Q W E R T Z U I O / A S D F G H J K / P Y X C V B N M L layout visible).
T36 Relay Unit, Original Box, Dated 1938
Relay component from a T36 cipher machine, an early predecessor design in the Enigma development line. Unused/uninstalled condition. Retains original cardboard storage box with period stamping (1938). Orange-cased components and brass contact pins intact and undisturbed.
