About this item
Original Villeroy & Boch (Mettlach) bust, period German production, dating to the first half of the 20th century.
The bust is fully factory-marked on the underside “Villeroy & Boch – Mettlach”, with the correct square kiln opening, consistent with documented Mettlach manufacturing techniques. The piece presents strong sculptural detail, well-balanced proportions, and an original dark matte/eggshell glaze typical of period Mettlach stoneware. No restorations, repairs, or cracks observed. Only minor age-related wear to the base, consistent with authenticity and careful handling.
