About this item
A very nice example of a totally authentic original, gold grade Mothers Cross with full length original water fleck ribbon and also comes with its original case of issue. The Case is maker marked for C.F. Zimmermann, who was a highly regarded maker of medals. The cross retains all of its enamelling and gilt finish. To the end of the full-size ribbon, it has press studs to attach around the neck when worn. Box has cream silk padding to top and named C F Zimmeran Pforzheim, bottom base is cream velvet. Press to release case in perfect working order, some cuff marks to the box. The cross medal is in beautiful condition.
Maker - C.F. Zimmermann was a well-known manufacturer of military decorations and awards in Pforzheim, Germany, during World War II, He was the manufacture of the prestige German Cross in Gold: Highly prized, complex multi-piece construction very collectable desirable medal.
