30) Lovely High Quality Original WW1 British Army Trench Periscope & Nice Original Case

30) Lovely High Quality Original WW1 British Army Trench Periscope & Nice Original Case. This may have been for use with the Trench Mortar? The case is excellent showing no damage just minor surface wear and dirt from age/use. The leather along the seem and to the top and bottom is all good but a little dry. Nothing that a gpod polish will not sort out. The closure strap is good and strong. Again in need of a polish. The periscope is in great order and retains pretty much all of its original olive green painted finish. Showing just minor surface wear to the edges at the ends. The top swivels to protect the lens and the bottom lens has a sliding button to uncover the viewing lens. The optics are good with no damage but do show dust and dirt spots. This should be fairly easy to clean although still good and useable as is. The top is maker marked along with a badly stamped part WD arrow. The scope measures 27 inches in length.
