About this item
80) Dirty Untouched As Found WW1 German Fernglas 08 Binoculars & Ersatz Case. These are as found we have not touched them or even unravelled the neck strap from them. The case is an Ersatz version of pressed fiber or similar with leather lid. It is good and has its side closure tabs but has had the belt loops removed long ago. It could do with a good clean and polish inside and out. The inside lid still has its orignal instructions leeflet. this is good with just minor surface wear. The Fernglas are as found and not touched for a long time. The body retains all original finish along with age related dirt etc. The focuses work smoothly, the optics show no damage just minor dirt (easy to clean). The left eyecup shows minor damage (see photos) The locking dial has light surface rust which will clean off nicely to reveal the markings to it. The neck strap feels in good order so should unravel well. A nice set which will clean up nicely.
