About this item
This is a very nice set of WW1 German military binoculars. The binoculars have been stamped ‘Fernglas 08, Oigee Berlin, No 7188’ and dated 1916, the optics could do with a clean.
The "OIGEE" marking specifically refers to OIGEE Optische Industrie Gesellschaft, a German optics manufacturer based in Berlin during the WW1 era.
These binoculars typically bear inscriptions such as "Fernglas 08 OIGEE Berlin" along with a serial or issue number, confirming their authenticity and military heritage. The design dates back to 1908, with many surviving examples showing wear consistent with decades of use.
