About this item
A very good and complete pair of German WW1 Galilean 08 Fernglas Binoculars by Emil Busch, with matching brown leather case, as issued to NCO’s.
Optically, the glasses appear without damage, both oculars adjusting smoothly and in collimation, with just a slight dust haze, but very useable.
The aluminium rain guard is in place, along with the original neck strap and button flap. The bending bar carries the date of manufacture, 10/2/1912, the locking wheel with the model number, maker’s name and serial number, 2082.
The white felt lined leather case is in very good condition although the operating instructions on the inside of the lid are no longer discernible.
Unusual to find such a complete set.
