About this item
A nice example of an original WW2 French Periscope with original leather case. This periscope was a vital optical tool used by infantry and artillery observers.
This example is a French issue as well and maintains the green camouflage finish with the folding wooden handle. Does have the workable adjustable stem to increase the height. The optics are in very good condition and clear as well. The body is stamped with ‘Micro Grades’ and the manufacturer ‘SRPI’. Also has the ‘M.G.’ which represents Ministere de la Guerre which means Ministry of War and has ‘GT-6’ which means 6x magnification.
Unfortunately, the leather case has lost is sprung loaded fastener (still included as shown in pictures), but rest of case is in good condition. Overall, this example is very good condition and just has some age-related wear and paint loss. Very interesting piece to add to your collection.
