About this item
WW2 USAAF 8TH & 9TH AF E.M Field Jacket- Named - Tech/Sergeant J. B DESHAY - 357th FG.
Nice enlisted man's field jacket, named to Technical Sergeant Joe B Deshay, who served as the hangar chief and chief mechanic at the 357th Fighter Group. Flying out of Yoxford. Joe worked on many of the famous P-51s flying with the 357th FG.
The jacket is in lovely condition, without any damage or mothing to the fabric. We can see one press stud has come off at the waist adjustment straps, but otherwise we cannot see any damage or issues with the jacket. Still retaining all of its original insignia on the jacket. Inside the jacket is named To J.B. Deshay, and inside the pocket still retains its original tag, dated July 1944.
Overall, a really nice jacket, ideal for any USAAF museum, display, or collection.
