Original WW2 RAF 1941 Pattern Sidcot Suit - Size 3

An original 1941 Pattern Royal Air Force Sidcot Flying suit which was made during the Second World War.

This sidcot suit is the standard wired 1941 pattern which is made from a green coloured cotton canvas. The main zip is complete and intact and the puller features the Air Ministry 'AM' and crown marking often encountered on wartime RAF zips. The other zips are complete with their pullers which feature which also feature Air Ministry markings. There is a large map pocket to the chest and two more large pockets are located to each thigh. There is a belt a the rear which can be adjusted with two metal slide buckles and there is a button flap at the crotch.

Inside the suit the original label is still present and is bright and legible. It states the size as 3 and also bears the stores reference number of 22C/774 which has been obliterated with 775 added after it which is the correct stores number for a size 3 Sidcot suit. 

The suit comes complete with its matching fur trimmed collar. This buttons onto the collar of the suit and appears to be in good condition.

The suit is in good condition with some signs of wear and age. Overall it displays well with no serious flaws or damage and is still wearable. There is wear commensurate with being used for flying and other associated stains etc. There are also some large white coloured marks which look like they could be cleaned off. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which has some flaws commensurate with age.
