Original WW2 RAF 1941 Pattern Sidcot Suit - Size 4

An original 1941 Pattern Royal Air Force Sidcot Flying suit which was made during the Second World War which is the wired electrically heated version and retains its original wiring loom and plugs.

This sidcot suit is the standard wired 1941 pattern which is made from a khaki tan coloured cotton canvas. The main zip is complete and intact and the puller features the maker's name of 'Lightning' which is often encountered on wartime RAF clothing. The other zips are complete with their pullers, save for one, and many feature Air Ministry markings. There is a large map pocket to the chest and two more large pockets are located to each thigh. There is a belt at the rear which can be adjusted with two metal slide buckles and there is a button flap at the crotch.

There are tunnels fitted throughout the suit which house the wiring loom and there are jacket plugs fitted to the end of these. This wiring is often missing on suits offered onto the market today which make this a particularly desirable example. 

Inside the suit the original label is still present and is bright and legible. It states the size as 4 and bears various details pertaining to size. 

The suit is in good condition with some signs of wear and age. Overall it displays well with no serious flaws or damage and is still wearable. There is wear commensurate with being used for flying and other associated stains etc. One of the zip pullers is missing but the head is still present and functions. The left leg zip has some teeth missing so will need to be treated with care. The collar buttons have also been removed although these could be reinstated. Please take time to study the pictures before purchasing and bear in mind that it is a vintage, pre-worn item which has some flaws commensurate with age. 

A nice original wartime RAF flying suit which retains its wiring and jack plugs.
