About this item
An original pair of 1937 pattern webbing brace attachments dating from the Second World War.
This piece of webbing was used to attach a cross strap to the front of the webbing belt when a pouch was not used. This was often done for pistol sets and similar. This pair appear to have started life as British Army issue examples and the exterior has been blancoed with the RAF blue colour. The reverse of one of the attachments bears a clear 1940 date and the other has the original owner's serial number applied to it in ink.
A good matched pair which were clearly used together by the same RAF man.
