About this item
A scarce original United States Navy aviator's green garrison hat dating from the Second World War and in excellent condition.
This pattern of cap was made for flyers with the US Navy serving overseas. It is made from a green coloured whipcord and features a full lining and deep leather sweatband to the interior. The cap is fitted with a US Navy Officer's overseas badge which is marked 'H J Sterling' to the reverse. Inside the cap the original label is still present and states the size as 7 1/8.
The cap is in excellent condition, save for one small hole as detailed in the pictures. Aside from this it is a very clean example with no real signs of wear or use. It displays very well but please take time to study the pictures before purchasing.
A nice original wartime cap with a nice quality badge.
