WW2 RAF G-TYPE OXYGEN MASK. A good, honest used example of the ever-popular and desirable G-type oxygen mask. As issued to RAF and Commonwealth aircrew during WW2.

A good used example of the iconic RAF G-type oxygen mask. The rubber of the mask is soft and pliable, with some minor cracking. Most noticeably around the edges and the usual stress points of the nose, nose wire, and harness retaining wire, but they are not too bad and are to be expected in 80-year-old rubber. The elasticated harness is again in used condition, complete with hook and press stud attachments, fully adjustable without any issues we can see. Lacking somewhat in elasticity, the mask can still be fitted to a helmet for display and adjusted accordingly. The mask is fitted with a good used Type-48 microphone, with some wear to the paint. Inside, the mask has a soiled chamois lining showing wear and use. The bottom side of the mask is marked with A.M. in the rubber moulding and marked as a size "MEDIUM". Overall, a well-aged but good mask that would display well with a flying helmet. Ideal for any RAF museum, collection, or display.
