Military History Books
Dorset, United Kingdom
Military History Books has been selling to collectors, service personnel and militarists for many years. On the recent retirement of Ian & Jill Knight, who ran the business since the 1990s, MHB has been takin into the care of Mike Walker, an RAF Veteran, and in November 2024 the entire inventory of some 10,000 titles were moved from Essex to Dorset. Between then and February 2025, work has been going on to catalogue every book and incorporate the stock in the new Weymouth premises along with that from Mike's existing online store; www.pilotsnotes.com.
This new outlet will specialise in sourcing and offering new and used books, magazines, pamphlets, rare first editions, deluxe and collectible editions of books, and ephemera relating to the armed forces of the world, from antiquity to the modern day.
With such a large number of titles to process, at the time of writing much still needs to be done. Approximately 80% of the inventory can currently be found in the website listings, however, many of the items are not yet accompanied by pictures and/or descriptive text. If while browsing you find such an item and want to know more about it, please contact us at mike.mooqu@gmail.com.
