    About this item

A scarce original 1942 dated leg strap for the RAC pistol holster.

This leg strap forms part of the holster which was officially designated 'Case, pistol, web, R.A.C. Mk. I' and is often referred to as the early war 'long strap' pattern. Often missing from holsters is the leg strap offered here.

This example is clearly dated 1942 and is maker marked 'MECo' which denotes Mills Equipment Company' as the manufacturer. The War Department broad arrow marking is also present as is the size of 28".

The strap is in good condition and features a light coating of shade 97 blanco to the outside which is often associated with the early war period.

A rare piece of early war British webbing which is missing from many Royal Armoured Corps pattern holsters.
