About this item
A British No5 "Jungle Carbine" Bayonet produced by the Wilkinson Sword Company.
Marked WSC at the ricasso, along with their Wartime code S294. Further markings to the other side.
This example is "as found". The blade has been service sharpened, with some trace of original finish, dark staining, and old pitting.
Contained in it's original regulation steel scabbard, with webbing frog.
Found alongside the grouping belonging to RSM Thompson of the Field Security Service, also listed on this website.
