    About this item

An Original WW2 Pattern RAF Oxygen Mask Hose as used with both the G Type and H Type Oxygen masks, complete in its original box.

This pattern of hose came into issue with the RAF at the same time as the G type Oxygen mask in 1942. It stayed in service throughout the Second World War and into the post-war years. This example features the correct wartime MK IV brass bayonet fitting and white metal crocodile clip to one end, and a threaded plastic connector to the other. These are both secured with the correct wartime pattern twine rather than the metal clips employed post-war. The bayonet fitting is marked with the Air Ministry crown as well as the stores code of 6D/526 and the designation of MK IV.

The hose is in very good condition and displays very well. The rubber is supple and all the metalwork is good and free of corrosion. Please study the pictures before purchasing.

The hose comes complete with its original cardboard box which makes this a great collectors item and would suggest that the hose was never been issued or used. It is in fairly good condition with some signs of age etc as well as a tear to the centre of one side. Overall it displays well.

These hoses are becoming harder to find and are particularly rare in this unissued condition. This would be hard to upgrade!
